Next 24th of January at 20.30, the exhibition “Semillas de Conciencia, a solidary photographic journey” opens at Espacio APERTURA, Malaga.
In February of 2018, a photographic trip to India took place. Semillas de Conciencia promoted this trip with the solidarity collaboration of the school OPENING and solidary management of JAGRUTI. The itinerary followed the same route that Sandra, founder of Semillas, followed and that took her to Rishikesh where the first projects of the NGO would be born. The participants in the trip visited the projects that Semillas develops in India. The trip counted with the participation of Silvia J. Esteban, teacher of the school OPENING and Ana Vega, was guided by Jimena Prieto of JAGRUTI. The participants were able to enjoy an introduction to the Hindu culture and philosophy through the teacher of JAGRUTI Manoj Sharma, an expert in Philosophy, Culture and Hindu religion and Pandit.
The exhibition will have a section in which a selection of photographs of places and experiences, made by the participants in the trip, will be exhibited. Another section will be devoted to photos about projects in Rishikesh slums and village schools. The exhibition will also show handicraft items made in India as the dolls of the Asmara Seed Workshop project.
The trip was a unique and transformative experience for its participants. We invite you to visit this exhibition as a result of a solidarity participation made from the heart.
